​1. Eligibility:
 

        Who can apply:

• Any individual or family residing within Southwestern Ontario.

• Applicant must be at least 18 years old.

• Applicants must own a home that requires a new furnace.

• Families experiencing financial hardship or those in need of a furnace due to heating issues (broken furnace, no heating system, etc.) are encouraged to apply. 
  
  Ineligible Participants:

• Employees of Parr Mechanical, their immediate family members, and any affiliated partners are not eligible.

• Applicants who have already received a furnace through previous giveaways within the last 12 months.

 

2. How to Enter: 
 

       Submit an Application:

• Fill out the online application form available at [website link].

• You will need to provide your name, contact information, address, and a brief description (300 words or less) explaining why you need a new furnace and how it would impact your family’s well-being.
   

       Submission Deadline:

• All applications must be submitted by Febuary 1st. Late entries will not be considered.

       Documentation:

• Applicants may be required to provide proof of financial hardship (e.g., a recent utility bill, or documentation of unemployment, etc.) to help assess need.

 

 3. Judging Criteria:

      Need:

• Priority will be given to households with no working heating system, broken furnaces, or homes facing extreme financial difficulty due to health or economic issues.

• Entries will be reviewed by employees of Parr Mechanical.

   

4. Contest Period:

• The contest starts on December 1st 2024 and ends on February 1st 2024. 

• All entries must be submitted by February 1st at 5:00pm. 
   

5. Prize Details 

• Giveaway includes a brand-new furnace and installation by Parr Mechanical

• The Specific furnace model will be chosen based on the recipient's home requirements 

• The installation will be scheduled on a mutually agree-upon date after the winner is announced

 

6. Installation Conditions 

• Installation must comply with local building and safety codes 

• The home must have an existing compatible HVAC system and infrastructure to support the furnacce 

• Any additional modifications required to the home's system outside of the general ductwork included in a furance installation will not be covered by Parr mechanical. 
   

7. Publicity

• By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to allow Parr to use their first name, general location and photos of the installation for promotional purposes including social media advertising 

8. General Conditions 

• Parr Mechanical reserves the right to disqualify any entries that are incomplete, inaccurate, or do not comply with these terms 

• This giveaway is subject to all applicable laws and regulations 

• Parr Mechanical reserves the right to modify or cancel the giveaway at any time
